Kids in entertainment / arts

Does anyone have experience with graduating a child who then goes on to the arts and entertainment industry instead of college?  I have a daughter who will be a senior in the fall.  She is hoping to get into a professional ballet company.

Her plan B is something else in the field of dance such as cruise ships or even sight and sound theatre, etc… I of course would like her plan B to be college.  It is her Plan Z!
