Just saying hello

I just registered for the forum and wanted to say hello (especially since I’ve just posted a series of questions in the CM Organizer section). 🙂

I’m Kim, mother of one precious dd who just turned 6 last month. So this is our first *official* year of homeschooling. I have been reading/researching home education curriculum and methods for oh, the past 3ish years or more (I taught children in public schools before becoming a mom and thoroughly enjoy anything education related…..I think I was born a little teacher—the oldest of 4, who loved to “play school” but I digress….LOL) and Charlotte Mason/her method is just HOME. I am still learning so much (and still have so many questions!) and am enjoying the journey we are on.

I really appreciate this forum and all the work that has gone into this site. It is amazing! I have spent ages wandering around AO, but have not felt settled with their history rotation (along with every other literature based history program out there….) and some selections and the recommendations here seem like they will fit better with our family. I am not strong in history, and I would so like to integrate Biblical and “world” history in our studies….it’s all God’s Story after all!….and I am taking the plunge here. I am also a big planner and like to know where we are headed, even though I know we might change course here and there. So thank you again for all the work and help given here!

I hope to participate in the forum as I am able.

Still have miles (in learning/applying CM) to go before I sleep…..
