Audiobooks…lots and lots of audiobooks. Get them at the library or download free form LibriVox or subscribe to audible.com. This takes care of Literature, plus sometimes science, history, or Fine Arts. Listen in the car or van while driving to and from errands or doctor appointments. Listen while you do dishes, baths, laundry, etc. We just LOVE audiobooks.
I just want to offer you some encouraging words. As part of a women’s group at my church, I received a jar filled with slips of paper. Some of them are scripture verses. Others are names and email addresses of women in my group to pray for and encourage. I pull out one slip of paper each day. Here is today’s verse:
“I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” – Jesus (John 16:33)
Just wanted to let everyone know that things are going a lot better right now. We aren’t up to a full schedule yet, but are doing a lot better. I’m still getting tired quicker, but doing much better.
Generally, we are doing:
Scripture Memory (would like to get a full devotion going… but for now this is working…)
Copywork
History/Geography/Bible (just added that back in this week) – doing Module 2
Math (RS) – my 2 school aged are at the same level right now….
Beginning Reading (with my pre-schooler – she is on lesson 50 of 100EZ – and I don’t want to lose momentum!)
and most days the violin practice later.
Most evenings, I am Buddy Reading a book with my 8yo. I do need to try to get some reading going with my 6yo…
We are occasionlly watching “Signing Time”… and I’ve been known to throw on some German songs… No science at the moment, nature study isn’t happening (although they play outside a lot), and stuff like Picture Study isn’t happening, etc…
