Anyone else read Journey to the Center of the Earth and when?thanks September 9, 2014 at 10:47 pm nebbyParticipantWe did it as a read aloud last year when my kids were 8-13. It worked for that at those ages. For reading on their own I’d stick to ages 11+. It had a lot of long descriptive passages which can be tough.Nebby September 9, 2014 at 11:53 pm TristanParticipantJust did it as a read aloud this year (8 children ages 13 down to 1). My friend read it to her four children at the same time as it was for our book club (hers were ages 12-1). Everyone enjoyed it and followed the story because we read in short readings more often instead of longer readings once a day.
