The pages are mostly blank on both sides. Each two-page spread has a prompt for what to look for and sometimes a tip or quote. The rest of the page is blank, with the exception of the nature study prompt for recording weather; those pages have a calendar grid for recording weather conditions.
The biggest difference between the printed version and buying the ebook version and printing it yourself will be the quality of the paper and the heavy-duty cover. The print version has heavy-quality paper, thick enough to allow for watercolor painting, as well as sketching.
