Just a quick note of intro, although I’m sure you’d figure most of this out eventually. We’re in AK, and have two daughters, 7 and 4. We just started to incorporate CM this school year, our second as HSers. Last year was a miserable failure as I dealt with depression (still am, but it’s way better). I also battle my laziness daily.
I’ve already learned quite a bit and am looking forward to reading further about your experiences and learning even more.
Welcome! Neat that you are from Alaska! I really really want to visit your state someday! This is a great great forum, and I am sure you will enjoy the amazing people, info, and encouragement here.
Another lazy mom here, Jenni. Trust me, your kids can still learn a lot even though you are lazy LOL. I call it the “do less” method. It works better than the frantic “catch up” method which I do not recommend.
And I hope your family has a good school year – it can be hard enough to live up to our own expectations for homeschooling when we are at our most productive. Adding in depression is challenging – I am sure that is putting it mildly. Glad to hear you are feeling better and I hope that continues.
