….or am I? When I load the forum home page, it shows my username and hidden password, asking me to login. When I click on the login button, the page refreshes but does not log me in.
However….when I click on most forum topics, it takes me to the page for that thread. Lo and behold, there is my educated chicken gravatar with my name underneath. I’m logged in! When I leave that page or visit certain other threads, I’m not logged in–no chicken!
Also, if I drop down the Organizer menu to go to that page, once there, it appears that I am not logged in. It only shows the Bookfinder but no Daily Plan or other tabs. I tried logging in from the Organizer, but it still shows me as not logged in on the forum home page.
I have cleared my browser cache, so I don’t know what else to do to resolve the problem. I did have problems posting a very long post earlier today and had to save it to a Word document, then cut and paste it in smaller chunks split up into several posts on the thread “New to CM, need help with 4th grader.” (Or some such title.)
Please help. I will respond with some humorous post after sunrise, when it is not 1 o’clock in the morning and I am not in a sleep-deprived stupor….

Oh, for crying out loud! No sooner had I submitted the above post and clicked on the Forum Home link above my chicken gravatar then it took me back to the home page…..and I’m logged in. Click on the Organizer link….I’m logged in there too, with all of my tabs on display. Visit a thread that showed me as logged out? I’m logged in there as well.
The forum is getting back at me for years of lame jokes about spam…I just know it!
I’m going to bed….

Just wanted to let SCM know that the scenario described above by Sue has been happening to me lately, as well. I click on “log in” and nothing would happen. But if I went to page 2 of forum pages, it would log me in automatically.
But this wouldn’t happen all the time.
Weird!

If you get to a page where you appear to be logged in, click on the My Account link at the top of the page and select Log Out. I’m guessing everything will be back to normal again after you then log back in.
The other thing you can try is clearing your browser’s cookies, at least for our site. That is what stores your login status. After clearing cookies you will need to log in again.
