can you tell me how you use it? Do you just schedule a pic study every couple of weeks or so? Maybe these are scheduled in the new Gen-Deut? I have the 2nd ed (which I LOVE), so it is not in there. Do you have a certain order you place them in?
In the revised Modules 1, 2, and 3, the lesson plans now include Stuff They Left Behind. These modules were released within the last 2-3 months, I believe.
Is there a place that list the schedule for those of us who own the previous version of Gen – Deut? I know I got the schedule for Ancient Egypt and Her Neighbors (scheduled in the 3rd edition) and penciled it into my 2nd ed. guide.
I’m not sure about that. I still own the previous version of Gen.-Deut., and won’t repeat it for another 3 years, so I haven’t worried about that yet. Hopefully Sonya or someone with an updated version can answer that one for you!
Most of the pictures included in The Stuff They Left Behind: In the Days of Ancient Egypt will correspond to topics covered in Ancient Egypt and Her Neighbors. Some will fit with topics in the Bible accounts. Suggestions are given in the revised lesson plan books, but you can use them in a variety of ways. You can use them to introduce a place or topic before the reading, to elaborate on the place or topic while you are reading or at the end of the reading, or to review last time’s reading before moving on. Probably the easiest thing will be to look over the topics or places mentioned in the read-alouds (Bible or AE&HN) and pencil in where you want to use a related artifact picture.
