Ideas for storywriting

I’d love to hear about what you do when your kids get to the age where they want to write and illustrate their own stories. This will be quite an effort for my dd, because although her art is at an advanced level her writing is not. I would like to have her put it together in a beautiful way so that she can cherish her efforts.

When they were little we just stapled paper together. What other things can we do to make a beautiful storybook? Is there something I can purchase that she can use?
