Our homeschool co-op has doubled in size in the last few years ….. and now we have a student showcase every March with categories like : writing expo , talent show , art display , science fair and baking contest. I asked my kids to consider entering in 1 of the categories and they both expressed an interest in science. I was thinking of how we could do a science project that is connected to our nature studies ( which I admit has been salt & pepper , hit or miss this school year so I am lacking ideas ). I was thinking about how to avoid the typical , mundane science fair exhibit where you conduct an experiment and collect data that is plastered all over a tri-fold poster board in sharpie pen . How could we do this but have it be related in some way to nature & interesting …. not textbook science . My kids are in 3rd and 1st and would need individual projects to enter into the showcase. I know my daughter is fascinated with butterfly’s . Any ideas ???
Thanks for reading 🙂
