I’m new to homeschooling and to Charlotte Mason. I’ve got a 4 year old and two year old. Knowing that might help you better understand my thoughts. I went last year and found it great for me because I was able to get a basic introduction to homeschooling (methods, laws, etc.). And it was great to have the opportunity to look through the vendor hall to see some of the curriculum in person. Now after a year of research, we’ve clarified our philosophy, so I’m looking forward to seeking out encouragement and materials that fit Charlotte Mason methods. This year SCM has a booth there (though no workshops) and Sue Pruett, the Charlotte Mason Girl, is presenting a number of workshops. So- I’m not sure if I can really give you a thumbs up or not because I’m sure the experience would be completely different for someone who’s been homeschooling a long time. I’m not sure if any of this is very helpful for you. 🙂
