I will Never Leave Out Geography!

We have been doing Ann Voskamp’s A Child’s Geography II: Holy Lands this year.  We just finished the section on Turkey.  Quite by accident, I picked up a fiction book from the library to read myself (“The Amazing Mrs. Pollifax”).  In it, they travel all through Turkey and it was so cool to have a mental picture of where all the places were and what was significant about them.  It gave such a greater depth to the story.  

So I’m wondering, is there another resource like this book to use next year?  I love the way she really digs into the country and it becomes personal.
