this morning, looking for the sun. As I did, I was inspired to write and, not wanting to get out the computer and ruin the moment, I began with paper and pen. I learned two things: One, my handwriting is atrocious; and two, old-fashioned writing is HARD WORK! I am so spoiled by my keyboard. I have a different type of appreciation for the beautiful minds who wrote their musings and stories the old fashioned way. What drive they must have had to continue in that fashion…not to mention how laborious the editing must have been!
And that’s my unimportant-yet-suprisingly-contemplative musing for today. 🙂
That is very true, I used to have to handwrite back in my school days and then used a manual typewriter for many years – showing my age eh! Anyway, it is a fact, having gone from handwriting to a manual typewriter, then electric and then a Zenith computer and then the computers we have today – I have an appreciation for the wonders of technology but also an appreciation of hand written books and notes etc. I have carpal tunnel and can no longer write long letters, I have to type them – but I love to see handwriting.
I saw on the news that there is a Bible out there that has been handwritten and illustrated
I think this is so amazing and so wonderful, even if it is not the Bible of your faith it is a masterful undertaking and I think it must have been wonderful to be so immersed in the Word day in day out for all those years. I think your musing is quite important in today’s hurry up world.
