I was looking online because I’d like to try and do hymn study this year. I found this website and thought I’d share with you. Maybe it wouldn’t be helpful for you but it at least might help me a bit to get my feet wet.
Hymn study is something I’ll be adding in next school year, too, so I’ll be glad to see other replies.
I’ve seen http://www.nethymnal.org suggested. Each hymn has its own page where the lyrics are typed out and the music is played. It also has a pic of the writer and links to their bio. It may be a good starting place at least. Especially, if you don’t have access to hymn recordings.
Just wanted to chime in a second to CoastalCarol’s recommendation. We have been using this site for our hymn study for nearly a year. There are enough hymns, stories and devotions to keep you busy for quite a long time. You can also download the hymn via MP3 too!
