    S. 1877 will require new federal reporting mandates of child abuse or neglect to social services, including requiring every adult to be a “mandatory” reporter of child abuse or neglect…

    Already called the senator in my state who is on the committee!!

    I emailed the three represenitives for my state and that includes the senator that is on the committee!  I have also sent out a mailer to friends and family.  Thanks for posting this!

    I received another e-lert this evening saying that it appears the bill has stalled and that sources have told HSLDA it is unlikely it will make it out of committee. HSLDA is crediting the phone calls and emails from members and friends with stalling the bill.

    Just wanted to add to this discussion that my sister, who works for CPS, informed me that all adults here in NH are already mandatory reporters. I had no idea that was the case. Wondering how many other states have the same law.
