    After listing in another post what my 14 yr old does I was asked how we do it all.

    I think the biggest misconception is that all of this is done every day. So I thought I would break it down so you could see how we do it. Everything listed here except for Logic is listed in the SCM Curriculum Guide for this age.

    I was also asked how long it takes each day. It takes him 3-5 hours per day depending on his diligence and desire that day. Another thing to remember is that many of these subjects only take 5-15 mins. The longest ones are family Bible time, math, science and our family literature read aloud.

    History/Geography

    Independent Daily

    Copywork

    Math

    Literature Independent Reads

    Dictation

    Grammar

    Foreign Language

    History Independent Reads (This one is often only a couple times per week since we do follow the SCM handbooks schedule)

    Family Weekly

    Shakespeare

    Poetry (3X/week)

    Handicrafts

    Music Appreciation

    Art Appreciation

    Nature Study

    Independent Weekly

    Art (2X/week)

    Personal Development Reading

    Typing (3X/week)

    Thank you so much for posting this. I am starting our first year of homeschooling with 3 sons, 14, 10, and 9. Would it be possible to list on average how long you spend on each subject (minute wise)?

    Thank you! I have a 14yo this year. Would you mind sharing when and which subjects he does written narrations? How long are they and how long does it take for him to write them?
