We have about a foot here in Nova Scotia, but it’s blowing around so much we have huge drifts in one spot and bare ground in others. We’re fortunate here — many in the province are without power.
Jawgee – I totally sympathize with the end of culdesac thing. Last time it snowed here, the county plow only went around the circle to about 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock (assuming our house is the 6 o’clock position) and there’s a flower bed in the middle of the culdesac so whenever any of the other snow plows drove by it looked like our circle had been done, but neither of the neighbors on each side of us or our family could get out! Frustration!
It sure is heavy snow. Ds shoveled the front deck and walk while our neighbour’s plowed our driveway. I got the back deck cleared of, but there’s a huge drifts down the side of the house that I haven’t been able to conquer yet. My dh is stuck in PEI for at least one more day. The wind is still pretty high, but we really haven’t had any more snow since early afternoon, most of it fell over night.
Yep- weirdest winter in many years. Much colder here the last month than it usually gets. We usually get one week of -20c and then it rarely goes below -10c the rest of the winter. More snow this year, too. Not that we’ve had any big snowfalls until now, it’s just too cold to melt, on the cm or two here and there are really accumulating.
