Becky, thanks for the suggestions. The character readings are actually the easiest things to stagger to give more time….we’ll complete them way before the end of the year. I always hate to cut bible/character…but since they’re also doing a personal devotion and we do family devotions, plus scripture memory, it’s probably o.k. And I’ll think about less reading in other areas….I love all our books and hate to drop any, but will if it’s too stressful! And thanks for the scheduling idea. I tend to follow a flow, not a time limit, but will need to consider that to keep on track.
Christie, LOL that would be something….would be great to get school all done in one day a week:) I added it all up and it’s nearly 27 hours/week which is about 5.3 hrs. per day. Which seems like a lot to me, but if I take off devotions, exercise, piano, free reading, nature study that nixes over an hour per day….so more like 4 hours per day plus those things. Maybe I just need to try it….my times may be off. Thanks for all the suggestions and support, I appreciate it! And anyone else who wants to share how they count their hours, please do:) Blessings, Gina
