I’ve just finished reading Planning Your CM Education and have finished going through Your Week and am about to figure out each day. I wanted to ask about what I’ve planned daily for my 12 1/2 year old daughter.
Every day she will have:
Math
A poem
Copywork
2 Readings – her history reading (from Module 1) and literature like Shakespeare, Plutarch, a nature reader or other literature selection.
And either Spelling Wisdom or Simply Grammar
Bible we will be doing as a family but I do have Discovering Doctrine for her to use. Okay, to be more specific about the above:
On Monday and Thursday she will study her passage from Spelling Wisdom and it will also be her copywork for those days. On Tuesday and Friday I will dictate the SW passage to her, she will do a lesson from Simply Grammar and her copywork will come from Simply Grammar. On Wednesday her copywork will be cursive practice. She will also do a science lesson on Wednesday.
The only things I really don’t see is a forgein language, a personal development and typing if you are doing those? You many not being doing them which is fine, if that’s the case her independent studies look good to me. That covers what my son will be doing also. Also, I am assuming that math is everyday. Good luck! Misty
I’m planning to do foreign language just once a week as a family. Personal development – we’ve been working on this as the need arises, but I just printed Smooth and Easy Days and I hope to get Laying Down the Rails soon. Not doing typing just yet. This is a pretty heavy load compared to what she is used to (embarassing moment for mom here) and I don’t want to overwhelm her too much.
Oh yes, math is everyday.
Thank you!
