Hi moms, I need your suggestion. I have both family study and individual study for my 2nd grader and K. Do you usually make two set of daily schuedle to each kids or displace on the wall with both study on it?

What worked best for me (and that I need to go back to) was a simple schedule on one sheet of paper, each child (& me) having a column. In each child’s timeslot was ONE word in larger font. It was super easy to glance at the schedule & see what each of us should do. (I put a longer description in my slot, even though next time I might just note which child I am working with. (Oh, and we posted the schedule on the wall.)

I have 6 children, 5 of whom are schooling at different levels (though I have two officially in 1st grade).
I have a separate schedule for each of my older three as they work independently with me teaching them in certain areas on certain days/times. Every day we all read together and have group time (Bible every day, history read-aloud every day, art/nature/music/geography/Friday Bible co-op alternating days).
I also have a schedule for myself that I am at the moment needing to tweak. I like mtcougar’s idea of colums and will be working on it to see if I can use that approach. Thanks mtcougar!
Then I just have a general weekly outline for my two 1st graders that I fill in each day. I am using a gentle approach with them and follow their lead on what to teach each week in math for instance. Right now they are really interested in subtraction and telling time, so I am working on that with different activites. As we do something, I just write it on their outline as a record of what we are doing each day. I also write any books we read together on that same sheet as well as impromptu learning like today’s nature study of a our cat acting predatory, which we talked about the definition of, as she CAPTURED and DeVOURED a skink. I couldn’t watch but our kids loved it. I figured this was nature study at its best.
OK, back to topic, I also print out a weekly schedule of our three olders that they follow in addition to the year-at-a-glance.

Hi Carmen!
I have a second grader and kindergartner this year also!!!
I have a weekly chart for each child that I pencil in their assignments daily. Because my second grader is a planner and functions best when she knows what’s next, I pin up a “daily schedule.”
Here was today’s:
PRS (pray, recite, sing) this is together
second grade lesson with teacher/kindergarten activity time
kindergarten lesson with teacher/ second grade independent work
nature/science lesson (together)
second grade lesson with teacher/kindergarten activity time
kindergarten lesson with teacher/ second grade independent work
Poetry

In the afternoon I read Literature (from 2 books) to them together, and they painted for art time.

I am really enjoying this school year because my daughter (second grader) is able to do so much more and because I have some structure for my som (kindergartner).

I do the column idea also. I print one main one with names across the top (we have 7 children and me) and then times down the left side. That way I can see who is doing what and we are not overlapping my time, the computer time and also shared time with the pre-school and under’s time.
Then I copy and paste each child there own list with mine and give it to them so they can see at a glance where they need to be.
