I am currently working on doing a blog just for the purpose of letting the kids and dh see what we do. I am using blog spot. I just want to keep it private so I’m the only one who can pull it up, for now. How do I do that?

    Thanks for any help

Ugh, I read this earlier and just didn’t have a chance to write anything. Sorry for the delay and I hope you haven’t gone postal since your original post.

okay, I checked my blog and here is what I’ve found…

Go to Settings, then Basic, then Permissions, then Readers. I currently have mine set to “anybody”, but you can change that to reflect what you want. You can have only the blog author be able to read it, or you can specify individual readers who would then have to log in to blogspot to get clearance to read it. I’m not sure if you would enter email addresses or actual names? Probably whatever user name the person would use to log in to blogger, right?

In answer to what Jenni said about setting up readers for a blog you would have to enter the email address of the person you want to give permission to read your blog. They will receive an email inviting them to be a reader of the blog and will click the link in the email to accept. They have to sign in using a Google ID (gmail address) and can create one for this purpose if they don’t have one. I maintain a private blog for our HS co-op use and had to learn how all of this works :). Of course you can set it up so no one else can read it. Hope that helps.
