I’m tickled that not only did I get a Kindle, dh surprised me with an Ipad! (He got a free one for renewing 2 years of a continuing medical education course that he already does!–gotta love that!)
I downloaded the amazon kindle app on ipad. Yesterday I purchased a few books of Yesterdays Classics to get a feel for how it works. I’ve downloaded them and opened them on my computer using amazon kindle for mac. My question for my tech savvy friends is: How do I get them on the ipad? I tried email it and it said it couldn’t open it. I don’t see the ipad open in finder as a device, only in itunes, so I don’t see a way to drag and drop. THANKS!
BTW, I am loving the apps that have been mentioned! I am so excited to use this with the kids. I’d love any more suggestions. So hard to choose good ones.
For instructions on how to convert your .azw files, go to http://sketchstudios.net/wordpress/tag/azw/ and do a search on the page for “Converting the Files” and follow the directions from that point.
If you run into DRM copyright conversion issues, let me know and we can go from there.
If she has the Kindle reader for the ipad I wouldn’t think she would have to convert it…. but I don’t have an ipad so don’t know what to do… I would think you would connect the ipad to the computer and move the file somewhere on it….
