Horse Board Books

    My youngest will be turning 3 in a week and a half. She loves horses. I was wondering if there were any good horse books geared for around her age that I could get her for her bday?

    And while I’m at it, can anyone recommend any horse toys for her age as well? I’ve been considering the Melissa and Doug wooden horse stable, just haven’t taken the plunge and purchased it yet! 🙂

    Depending on how much you want to spend, the World Animal Horse Stable playset (was around $40 on Amazon a year ago when we got it) might be a good one. The horses are nice and sturdy and everything is lifelike and well made. For whatever reason my children much prefer this type of toy (real looking) to any of the wooden versions.

    I can’t think of any horse board books but maybe she would enjoy the Billy and Blaze books as RAs? The Little Fellow by Marguerite Henry is another good one w/more pics but I think OOP.
