    Hello, all!  I’ve been using the recipe for homemade powdered laundry detergent from the Penny-wise blog for a couple weeks (which uses Fels Naptha, washing soda, and Borax) and am very happy with the results.  The problem is I’ve recently heard that it could be harmful to my septic system, causing “clogs” of thick, hardened, soap residue.  Does anyone know if this is true?  I REALLY want this frugal alternative to work!

    I haven’t heard that and have been using a recipe with the same ingredients for a few years now without incident.
