I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for us. My 10 year old daughter would love to have a book or ebook on how to keep house. She can do quite a bit right now, and is very motivated to do a good job. I think she’d like to have something to read and maybe lists to check off on this subject. Is there anything out there written for young girls?

We have the Keepers of the Faith books.  We don’t follow the program, but they love looking through the books for ideas.  It also has a checklist for each skill area.  There isn’t a huge amount of information, but it makes a great starting point.

This may be a little “Old School” for you, but I thought the Rod and Staff Home Ec. books looked good. They walk them through things like Kitchen safety, sewing, etc…very detailed and lots of common sense things that you might not think to teach. If you can get over the ‘textbooky’ feel, the information given is actually good.
