I have gone through a lot of pages and right now find it easier to ask the group.  Wih only one child, I won’t have the family study time, so I am wondering about when do I start history?  I look at beginning ancient history and think about introduction at grade 1 with trepidation.

I would say start with what interest you and your child.

We started with year 5 when my oldest was in 1st and it was a good year. Went back to year 1 and it was tougher, I think really it was meEmbarassed, I struggled with teaching ancients to a young crowd, but I look forward to it in the future. Next year we are going to jump to year 4 and will continue through the rotation (at least the plan for now) 🙂

So when it comes down to it… I suggest starting with what you think you and your child will enjoy this year, what ever time period that might be.
