We are finishing Module 1 in a few short weeks. I would really like to wait for the Module 2 revisions before beginning. Would I be doing my child any injustice by skipping ahead to a American History for a period of time? This is what she is asking to study right now although she is excited to start Ancient Greece as well.

Just my opinion, but I think if it’s something she’s asking to study, go for it. She’ll enjoy it more, and so will you.

You could go either way, really.  Pausing History for 6 months won’t hurt anyone, but doing History out of order won’t cause an inferior education either.  I would probably wait to start up again, taking some time to focus more on nature study or art or whatever subject tends to get pushed to the side for you.
