History book….again :(

    Hello moms,  I’m sorry to bring up the topic again – I see from past posts that it is a hot one – but I would love to start Module 1 but can’t find Oxford First Ancient History book for less than $100.  I’ve looked at older posts but couldn’t find substitutes. Can you recommend a substitute please?  Or sell me one you don’t use anymore?  🙂

    I know this is $$$ too but like I said, I found it at the library on loan.

    That’s good to know….I am looking into starting this style next year and have a list made to look for books. Hmm..may need to jot down the details of said book and look for a replacement especially in today’s economy Frown

    Saw in another post a week or so ago that Oxfords FAH is comprised of these three books:

    On the Threshold of History ISBN 0 19 917100 9
    The Greeks ISBN 0 19 917161 0
    The Romans ISBN 0 19 917162 9

     

    I found the first two at booksellers in London on ebay.  I got them both for about $30.
