    I am currently doing Genesis through Deuteronomy with my son and hope to finish in a few mths. I am thinking of jumping ahead to the last book in the series and do modern history during the summer because my son wants to study about American history. Good idea or bad idea to skip ahead?

    Totally okay! Enjoy it! If you are keeping a timeline of any sort, he will be able to keep them straight in his mind.
