High schoolers – How do you give grades

    Hi,

    I was struggling with grades for my high schoolers.  Yes the few test we take are easy to give grades for.  For you though, what about daily tasks that have no tests.  Like, just writing, discussions, notebooking for things like history, etc.  Should I be giving daily grades in each subject?  Grading things like participation, narration, etc. Or do you try to just give one grade per subject a week.  The whole reason for this is to create a transcript.  I truly wish grading was not something I had to do, unfortunately it is needed though.  Any guidance on this subject would help.

    I really just give a grade at the end of the year for such subjects. Have the done all the work? Have they done their best effort? I don’t grade individual assignments.

    How would I find that college thread?  I searched “college” and nothing came up.  I’m not real familiar with where to find different topics.
