I just purchased many resources from scm and chose Genesis-Deuteronomy/ancient Egypt to study with my children for history. My question is – I have a K, 3rd and 5th grader (and a preschooler) – what is the best way to go through all of the books listed for family/combined use? Do I just pick one and begin reading aloud with narration so from all the kids? And are they required to be reading books on their own that are listed only for their specific grade level, and than narrate back to me? I’ve been doing CM for 5 years but this is the first time I’ve not used a teachers manual laying out how and when to read books with a specific plan etc. Thanks for any guidance you can offer, I love this site and am so thankful for it! Did you get the Module guide to go with those books? If you did, it is laid out for you day by day with all assignments for the family and the individual students by grade. It will tell you when to read and what to read and when to ask for narrations.

Agreed with Sheraz. The guide is a huge planning saver. I love that it’s laid out day by day rather than a weekly schedule. Very mom-friendly. And cheap:)
