Try this site… http://www.amathsdictionaryforkids.com/mathsCharts.html it has awesome visual charts. I started a math journal for my kids and so everytime we start a new concept, I print a chart and place it in the journal and this is what they use to try and answer their own questions of how to do a problem before they come to me.
on the left select numbers then in the middle select expanding numbers and then print is at the bottom right. HTH
I used this with my son and he still hesitates, but thinks it through. Another easy trick to keep the columns seperated is to turn a normal sheet of paper from portrait to landscape and at the top, label your columns with place values. then have them copy math problems to it. HTH
this doesn’t go up as high as you need, but maybe you could make one.
