I am new to the CMO and wondering how everyone goes about scheduling things such as Scripture Memory.  I have watched all of the help vidoes (most of them several times) and am still having a hard time wrapping my mind around what would be the best way to schedule some of our resources.  If we are memorizing 17 verses this year, and I really don’t know how long it will take to memorize each one, how do I schedule them out?  I thought about doing the “No Divisions” option, scheduling Memory Work for each day and making a note of which passage we worked on.  Would that be best?  I also thought about just marking each passage “Worked On” until we moved to the next, but I read in another thread that that would leave me with a bunch of boxes on my report for the “partially completed” assignments.  It was an older thread, so maybe that has changed now?

I am probably over-thinking this.  I have a tendency to do that!  Any input would be greatly appreciated.  I would love to hear some of the different ways everyone schedules some of their special resources.

    Thanks in advance!

There is a resource already plugged in and shared for Scripture Memory.  It has it divided up by passages (passage 1, passage 2, etc.).  I just click on “worked on” each day until the passage is learned.  Under notes I will enter the memory verse.

Thanks artcmom!  I saw that the resource was already there.  I just wasn’t quite sure how to schedule it all out.  I’ve been finding it easier in some instances to add the resource myself than to use the listing that is already there.  Not sure whether that’s a good thing or not!  🙂

You can use what’s already there if you don’t want o change anything and just mark worked on until finshed with that particular passage.

If you want to add in your own, and if you know the references for the passages ahead of time, you could mark the divisions as-for example- 1. Psalm 23; 2. Romans 8:28; etc. Mark as ‘worked on’ until finshed and then mark ‘finished’ when you’re ready to move on to the next one. Or mark no divisions and just keep marking worked on all year until you get to the end and do ‘finsh resource’ at the end of the year and just keep a nnote somewhere, if you want, of the passages memorized for your own records.

HTH-I’m sick and not thinking real clearly.

Thank you Rachel!  That does help!  I was cruising along yesterday and all of the sudden got so confused!  I decided it was time to be done for the day, and today it is back to seeming much less complicated!

Sorry you are not feeling well.  Prayers for healing going up!

Thank you Corie; this has been the worst cold I’ve had in a long time. Totally messed up my beginning-of-our-year plans. Ugh…

So sorry Rachel!  Hope you are feeling better today!  Give yourself permission to rest!  I hardly ever get sick, but when I do, it is usually after I have been overly stressed.  :-/
