Help!  This is my first year submitting the year-end report, but I have no idea how to write it.  Any suggestion?

    Thank you.

I tend to keep it short, and very positive.  (Ie, don’t focus on what you didn’t get done…)  For things with an actual course, I just say it was done…

    So for example,

    Math: Finished Level B RightStart

Social Studies: Enjoyed learning about ancient Egypt and Greece.  Drew the maps of Africa and the Middle East. Read about the lives of children in modern day Israel

Science: Explored Nature with a focus on living animals.

Art: Viewed the drawings and paintings of E. Shepard, DaVinci, and Michelangelo.  Worked on drawing skills.

    etc.

What is required may depend on your State/Province.   HSLDA recommends giving no more than is required….

Thank you very much for your help.  It helps me a lot and yes, I have been worrying about how much my son hasn’t met the school requirement in this year.

Suzukimom–can you tell me what reading material you used for learning about children in modern day Israel?  I really like that idea.  Thank you!

Thanks suzikimom!    Your ideas for the report were a help to me too!  Maybe I’ll come across something like that now that you’ve put the idea in my head.Smile
