Help finding a CM quote…please!

    Hey all,

    I can’t for the life of me find the quote about how we as parents should provide the best teachers for our kids and how they deserve the best in learning from a teacher that is knowledgeable of the subject.  Do you all know which volume or section that is in?  Thanks!

    Are you perhaps thinking of Charlotte’s counsel about securing the best teachers for art and music instruction?

    “If possible, let the children learn from the first under artists, lovers of their work: it is a serious mistake to let the child lay the foundation of whatever he may do in the future under ill-qualified mechanical teachers, who kindle in him none of the enthusiasm which is the life of art” (Home Education, p. 315).

    That’s a good one but no, thanks for trying!  I want to say it is in School Education but can’t find it.
