Well, I have been gone for a while and have enjoyed catching up on all of your posts over the past few days. We have made our big move from Kansas to Kentucky, and have now been here two weeks. DS seems to be adjusting well, and we are all enjoying our new home and excited about beginning our first “school” year (even if it is only relaxed preschool!) next month.
On a side note: I am re-reading “For the Children’s Sake,” and am so amazed every time I pick it up. I have read it before, but it contains so much wisdom of which I need constant reminder. Also…I ordered “Charlotte Mason Education” and “More Charlotte Mason Education” from Amazon last week, and they are due to arrive today!! I am SO excited!
The only thing I’m a little disappointed about in our new location is the library. It only seems to have a fraction of the books from the various book lists I was planning on using this year. So I’m not really sure what to do about that, short of ordering the 75% of the books it DOESN’T have (that would be a lot of money though.) Hopefully I can find enough good substitutions, I guess.
Welcome back! so, maybe your library can get stuff in from other libraries? That,s how it works here but sometimes the wait is a bit long lol. congratulations on your first school year! how exciting! we are entering our 6 th year here and I love it! Enjoy the crazy journey!
