How are all you ladies doing? I have sure missed you all. I have seriously cut down my internet time so that means I have not been on here. I would love to know how each of you are doing, how school is going and what the Lord is doing in your lives.

We are doing quite well now that life is getting a bit slower. We had an upheavel in our living situations back in July. Our landlord was very unkind and told us to move after she had destroyed some of our property. So we moved with out place to live July 11th. We stayed with my parents for 6 weeks and are now settled into an apartment of all places. At least while living here for a year or so we do not have to worry about someone causing harm to our property or telling us to move for no reason.

We stareted back with school last week and it has gone well. We are trying to make our way through Module 1 still. With all that has gone on this last year we havent made it through. I am determined to do it this year!!!

As for what the Lord is doing in my life. Wow!!! He is so good all the time. He has truly shown me where I have not been submissive to my husband in so many areas. I have always been the “holier than thou” with him as I do know more about the Bible but that does not make it right how I was handleing things in our family. So I have repented and it has been amazing to see how things are changing here.

So, I continue to look forward to seeing all the new happenings, the new discoveries and the new changes that He brings about this next year.

Shanna, I’m very new here, but just wanted to say thanks for your testimony regarding what the Lord’s been doing in your life.  It’s amazing how He brings us to those humble places and how He brings freedom that we never had while doing it our way.  (Don’t ask me how I know….LOL)

    Shanna,

I’m so sorry to hear of your crazy summer, but I’m glad you have a roof over your heads!  I, too, have drastically cut down on my internet time–this is the first time I’ve been on here in weeks!  Your testimony has prompted me to let the Lord guide my spirit more in regards to submission.  It’s such a struggle these days when we are told over and over again that we do not need to submit to anyone, let alone our husbands or God.  Thanks for your inspiration!

    Faith 🙂

Shanna, landlord troubles are SO stressful. I’m glad you are out of the former situation and into a better one.

Your post reminds me that we’re all works in progress. Sometimes I take two bold steps forward only to meekly step back again before I’m on the right path.

Shanna, I am sorry to learn of what you’ve been through these past few months, but know that your peace with God in all this shines through in your post.

Faith, Your words are so true about being submissivie when the entire concept seems to be foreign to people today.

We have been awed by God’s hand in our lives as we’ve begun our HS journey this year.  We knew it would it mean changes for all of us (DH, DD8 and me).  We feel more at peace, have less stress and have received many special “little” blessings to confirm our decision.  I feel a freedom from not having my days/life scheduled by the school.  DD is really enjoying HS too. After our first day of school she came to me with a note on her personal white board “I love my teacher!” What more could I ask?! Smile It’s good. God is good!

    Blessings, Mar
