Mrs. K, it doesn’t seem that any of us have found such a beast or used one. We didn’t in our school teach “health” really as a class. It was just something we’ve talked about informally. Is this something you’re required to do? A college you are interested in requires it? Have you thought of asking the schools you are thinking about what they have in mind?
It isn’t based on the government’s food pyramid, but traditional foods. Check it out. She’s a Homeschooling CM mom.
I’m doing the younger version for my two this next year; she just finished it. I do aqgree with Bookworm, too on contacting the colleges that you are interested in, too to get a feel for their requirements.
I didn’t respond because I haven’t used it yet, but I purchased My Father’s World Health course. They use the book Total Health & I Kissed Dating Goodbye. They also have lesson plans to use these books. You can probably see a sample of the book on Christianbook.com or some other website. There are three units: Physical Health, Mental Health & Social Health. Like I said, I haven’t used it yet but I’ve used MFW for several years and have been very happy with their book choices.
Blessings,
Susan

Thanks everyone. I’ll look into My Father’s World. I’ll also check into Food Renegard, Rachel. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hewitt Resources also has a very doable lesson plan guide for Total Health. It also uses the Dover Human Body Coloring Book. I like the lesson plans it helps me to see the big picture 🙂
