We’ve used parts of it. When we did a unit study on recycling and the skeletal system we used those bits. As a whole it is a very good course to use as a whole science curriculum but a bit dry compared to a literature based approach. It is a little textbooky but the author is quirky and adds his sense of humor all throughout the lessons. It is parent friendly easy to guide children through. If it is the traditional approach you like then it will suit you. They will learn alot of scientific method and vocabularly. It is a very generous offer from the author and from what I’ve seen it seems to fit in well if you take a classical approach to education. I have flirted with the idea of it but we are enjoying Apologia Exploring Creation and our unit studies on occassion. If I had nothing else that tickled my fancy I would be using it. I would still add living books along with it though, but that is simple to do. Wonderful for those on a shoestring budget.
Renelle, Thanks for your comments. That is really helpful.
I was hoping to purchase Considering God’s Creation to use with 106 Days but the shipping to Israel is $40, not including the cost of the actual books. So I am looking for alternatives that are a little more affordable. This one is free and an e-book which is excellent so long as the content is okay.
Blessings, Michelle
