I called Rainbow Resource today and spoke to the foreign language consultant, named Sara. She first recommended The Gift of Spanish, Let’s Play in Spanish with Suzy! But I told her it was more $$ than I wanted to spend. We talked other options and after exploring these and many others (my search has been long!), this is the only one that looks good to me for my dd6. I am really liking what I see and I don’t think I’ll need to buy much else. Amazon has 10, 5-star reviews and the sample videos look great. The only thing we didn’t care for is the lady’s red clown nose in some of the episodes, but I guess we can overlook that minor detail. We like the toucan puppet. I think RR has the best price – far less than Amazon or product’s website. Here are some links if you are interested:
which I think is great. But I wanted something more with CDs and books to re-inforce throughout the week and more vocabulary. I will likely use these in combination for 2 years. We will try the free knowitall Spanish after that, http://www.knowitall.org/instantreplay/content/LanguageIndex.cfm
Can anyone give an opinion on The Gift of Spanish, before I buy it this week? Or do you recommend something else engaging with correlating dvds, cds, and books?
