Has anyone here used Alphaphonics?

My daughter is 6 and this fall she will officially begin homeschooling. My 3 sons before her I did not homeschool until two years ago so I have never started from scratch with teaching a child to read.

I purchased Alphaphonics before learning about SCM and she is doing well, around lesson 20 at this point. I also started her on Delightful Handwriting and bought some  SCM copywork books for next year, too.

My question is, has anyone successfully used Alphaphonics and what readers would go well with it? I considered purchasing Delightful Reading but I like the idea of not spending more money if Alphaphonics is good enough.
