Has anyone ever used Home Geography or CM's Elementary Geography?

Has anyone ever used Home Geography for Primary Grades http://www.gutenberg.org/files/12228/12228-h/12228-h.htm or CM’s Elementary Geography http://home.comcast.net/~rlaurio/ElementaryGeography.html? If so what did you think? Were they useful or too outdated? What ages would you recommend them for?

I am doing CM’s Elementary Geography this year. Just very casual. Once a week read a lesson. I am also working on module 3 so this is just a little extra. I thought I will get it in before my children get too old for it.
