Happy Thanksgiving! This year I am especially thankful for Sonya and all the hard work you have put into creating such wonderful homeschooling resources for our family to enjoy! I tell everyone about the SCM site if they show an interest in homeschooling. You’ve made my job so much easier.
Ditto on the thankfulness for what Sonya & her team have created over the years. I met her (and Doug and Karen) for the first time at a conference last year. This year, when I saw them at the same conference, it was like seeing old friends again.
I am also thankful for God’s provision. In recent months, I have lost about 3/4 of my part-time job income, but God has provided and we have managed to make ends meet. The blessing is that I have had more time to devote to DD16’s homeschooling, my Dad who has Alzheimer’s, and our home, which is over 100 years old and had been mostly untouched since my mom passed away several years ago. Imagine considering it a blessing to clear away years of clutter and dust, LOL!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am thankful for SCM and for the lovely friends and support this group has been to me through the years.
Our Thanksgiving was a quiet one at home with a few guests (only 14 people and we’re 11 of them). Kids are still battling through viruses and Joseph has pneumonia now. We are just putting one foot ahead of the other until we get through this.
@happykratzers, we’re so glad our work has been helpful to you and your precious family.
@Sue, we’re thankful for your friendship and praying for the Lord to pour out His grace and strength on you.
@Tristan, we’re grateful that this forum has been a source of encouragement to you through the years and praying that God’s everlasting arms will support you each step of the way.
The verse my daughter and I are working on memorizing seems fitting to share here: “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; to declare Your steadfast love in the morning and Your faithfulness by night” (Psalm 92:1, 2).
