I haven’t been here for a couple of years and it’s good to be back and see that people are still kind to each other like I remember it.  I have a new username as it was easier to just set up a new one.  Anyway, I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year!

I know resolutions for some are so “yesterday,” but does anyone have any goals, dreams or theme word for the new year?

My word for the year is MOVE as in keep moving, staying physically active, moving forward with tasks.

My phrase this year is “be in the moment.”  To me this means, don’t dwell on the past, get worried about the future or spaced out in internet land.  Rather, I want to be connecting to my loved ones NOW.

    How about you all?

Welcome back!  I love your “be in the moment” resolution.  Too often I have regrets from the past and worry about the future.  We need to be counting our blessings instead and live each day fully present.  My goal is to get healthier and one way is to change what I eat, starting with breakfast.  I figured on a 1800 cal plan, I need 33 grams of protein in the morning and it is usually only 13 grams.  So I will include more eggs and yogurt.  Also going to add more fiber, so fruit and oats will be on the menu.  I am hoping this will help my days run more smoothly.  Happy 2015 everyone!

My word for the year is “rest”, but maybe not in the way one may think. You can read about it here…
