Handwriting, copy work, transcription, dictation etc.

My children could all use a refresher on proper letter formation. How should I handle this when transitioning them to CM? Should I make this separate? They don’t need to relearn cursive in n its entirety. They know how to form most letters, but most of our curriculums have done a refresher. Should daily copy work passages be different from prepared dictation that one would study for spelling, grammar, etc? I’m asking should I decide to not use SW/ULW.
