I have 5 children (4 doing school), and like to have an activity, craft, or coloring page to go with what we are reading about. I have found that just reading and narrating becomes dry, but adding in a little activity here and there reinforces and keeps things interesting. I guess I am in a pinch, because I want the freedom that a less planned out curriculum allows, but still feel like I need a more structured curriculum to make sure it all gets done.
I also have found that combining all of my kids for history does not work for our family. Do any of you do more than one module at a time?
