I’m finally adding this to my home library, but want one that would hold up well to the tons of use I know it will get.  For those of you who own it, would I be better off with a hardcover or a paperback?  I’m not sure of how well the binding is on these.  🙂

I have paperback – which I took to the printer and had split into three books (The three sections), made new covers for two of them, and spiral bound them all.  Much easier to handle now.

I have the paperback and it’s held up very well. I keep it on our bookshelf and get it out when needed.  If I carried it around for nature walks, I’m sure it would have more wear.  I prefer a couple smaller guides for our actual nature walks since it is a large book.

Karen – Thanks for that idea!!  I think I’ll do that, because I know we’ll be bringing them on our walks.  What kind of printer did you take it to?  Something along the lines of Staples or Kinkos?
