    Helllo,

I have a question regarding habits.  I have been doing the habit of orderliness for 8 weeks.  That means I was trying to watch anything that had to do with that habit.  For example when you come in from outside put your boots away and hang up your coat, if you were done eating put your plate at the sink, and when you were done with your toys put them away, and just put anything away after using it.  We had the motto “A place for everything and everything in its place” and the scripture 1Cor 14;40.   Now with these many parts to orderliness I find now that my eight weeks are up and we are now onto another habit that they are now neglecting this habit.  Which must mean that they actually do not have the habit.  I am reminding again it seems in some parts.  So now my question is should I have just done the one part to habit of orderliness say put the dishes at the sink and do that for 6 to 8 weeks?

I would probably break the different parts to orderliness into 2-3 week segments. It sounds like they are somewhat familiar with the different parts; now just focus on reinforcing each one. If you find that this does not work then you can always go back and spend more time on each one.
