    I used SCM’s Using Language Well last year with my 4th grader and plan on continuing with it this year. I am interested in getting Writer’s Jungle and using it as well. Has anyone ever used both ULW and Brave Writer?

    Yes!  You can customize writing assignments to fit your needs with Bravewriter.  They recommend that you do copywork and dictation, too.  It lends itself well to CM and encourages poetry reading as well.  The Writer’s Jungle is a nice teacher’s handbook.  I plan to read it again and schedule more types of writing projects.  They focus on helping you to help your student to find their writer’s voice and to give them more encouragement.
