grades/high school transcript

    Hello ladies,

    I’d like to know how y’all give grades for subjects like history and literature for a high school transcript. Do you make up your own exams? Any wisdom you have to share is appreciated.

    When I created the transcript for my oldest, I gave a grade based on her mastery of a subject. If it was a “course” that I know she struggled with, I gave a lower grade. If it was a “course” that I know she comprehended well and competed all the work, I gave an A. Some of the Apologia science courses’ tests have a grading scale that you can follow, but I tried to take into consideration all of her work, not just a final exam grade.

    When I made my eldest daughter’s transcript, I graded rather subjectively, as well. If I felt she had done A work, I gave her an A.
